It looks like the people over at Maranello have been busy. They are working on their next hybrid supercar, sources say it is due to be unveiled in the next “two or three months”. Hybridisation is needed to keep raising the crazy power figures while lowering emissions to meet boring new legislations The first of these models unveiled a the 2019 Geneva motor show last month, the mind-engined 3.9-lite V8 Ferrari F8 Tributo. The same engine which has racked up three engine of the year awards.

The car is a development version and replacement of the 488 GTB. It now has 710bhp, up by 49bhp from its predecessor, and the same output as the limited-run 488 Pista. Now, the question is which could you pick over these two because with same power figures and performance numbers it is hard to pick between the two. The Pista offering a more track focused experienced compared to the more usable F8 Tributo, although both will give most Mclarens a run for their money in both settings.

In conclusion, Ferraris step toward implementing hybrid technology into their cars has meant more powerful and environmentally friendly cars being produced. It’s a win win really, what do you think?
