This year, Nissan celebrates 50 years in US motorsport and whats more fitting than announcing their new car a the New York Auto Show. To honour their iconic cars, they announced a special edition of the Nissan 370Z and GTR. Unlike the unchanged 370Z, the 2020 Nissan GTR will include some actual mechanical changed. The 3.8 Litre V6 engine will include new turbo chargers contributing to better low-end throttle response. Although the car will still have the same 565bhp and 481 lbs of torque, a track focused version is also on offer.

The suspension has been modified for a more stable ride. In addition to this the steering and brake systems have been upgraded to make them more responsive. A track edition of the GTR will be offered with slightly more power, at just over 600 bhp. This paired with a new turbo charger design accounts to 20% faster acceleration at lower RPM, like the standard GTR wasn’t already quick. In conclusion, I think it’s time for an entirely new design.
